The Gardens include a bust of Dr. Stuart, beside the weeping Ash tree at the Pitt Street entrance. | |||

Adjacent to George Street, shrubs have been given by Knox members in memory of loved ones. | |||

The main lawn and garden area was created after the demolition of Church House (the 1897-1923 manse) in 1977. The large trees were part of the manse garden. |

The green space is some days a playground and others a pleasant place to picnic. | |||
|
The purple beech (two photos above) and this southern rata have New Zealand Notable Tree status. |
