This is the short tour, for a more comprehensive tour click here. The spire of Knox Church, highlighted on an autumn morning, is 50 metres high. The church was designed by RA Lawson in 13th century Gothic style. It is built of local bluestone with limestone facings and slate roof. It seats 900 people at special services such as Christmas Eve. |
| Just inside the Pitt Street entrance is a bust of Dr Stuart, first minister of Knox from 1860 to 1894, and Chancellor of Otago University from 1879 to 1894. | ![]() |

The Sanctuary window,
installed in 1964 in memory of the women of Knox, features Christ in
glory, surrounded by the symbols of the 4 evangelists with below these
Peter and Paul kneeling. |
| A memorial
window for Flying Officer Robert Weir Herron, who died on active
service in 1944, son of the Very Rev DC Herron minister of Knox Church.

The ceiling is one of the features of the church which was completed in 1876 for a cost of 18,333 pounds.
